Gujarat, batting first, scored 199 runs for four wickets with the help of captain Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 89 runs in 48 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes. Punjab Kings did not have a good start while chasing the target, but Shashank and Ashutosh Sharma, who entered the field as impact sub, brought the team back into the match. With the help of these two batsmen, Punjab registered victory by scoring 200 runs for seven wickets with one ball remaining. Punjab successfully achieved the biggest target of this season.
